Night Ferry Vancover by Frederick Varley

Painted 1937. Varley moved to Vancover B.C. to be head of Department of Drawing and Painting at the school of Decorative and Applied Arts from 1926 to 1933. Varley had depression for a few years, and with depression came alcoholism. Once he got over his depression he moved back to Onatrio and begun focusing on his paintings agian.
